Rhythms of Life

Can't you just tell when your around people who have found their rhythm.

It's a good feeling to see this in others and when it happens to you it's a great feeling. It may not be with everything but when you are doing the things that you were meant to do you know it.

When I can do something creative it gives me such a warm feeling. Sometimes I get on such a roll I have a hard time stopping. I just get in that mode and go, and go, and go!

If you haven't done so already, do what you need to do to figure out your rhythm. Don't allow anything to stop you. Set yourself up to be able to do what gives you your bliss, even if it is a few hours a week.

Get in the grove, recognize when it feels right, don't allow others to stand in your way, and find the rhythm of your life.

Push the pause button.......

Don't  you wish sometimes you could just hit the pause button?

I know there are days when I want to stay where I am and enjoy the moment longer,

Have a little more time to bask in the pleasure,

Keep the joy going,

Or put off something that may not be as pleasant.

I make a to do list but sometimes it just gets pushed aside.
I'd rather be doing anything but that list.
Yet when I finish the list I feel so good......hummm

Is it just me?

I wish I could do both! Get my list accomplished and hit the pause button.

Well sometimes it just feel like a pause kinda day.
XOXO

Color Yourself Happy!

Are you happy and you know it?

Do you project that happiness on to others?

I choose to live in an environment that is as stress and drama free as I can make it. I hope my children feel the same way when they look back on our home life.

Some things can't be helped but thankfully I grew up with very little drama so that set me up for years of happiness!

My parents loved and respected each other and that was a great foundation.

I choose to be happy.

I want "happy" around me.

I want people to want to be around me because I am a happy person.

How about you? Just color me happy.

Turn up the Sunshine ☼

Has the gloom set in?

Well turn up your sunshine.

How many times have you thought, "This day is not starting the way I wanted it to".

Don't waste your days waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Make sure you turn your day around quickly by thinking of all the positive things that have already happened today.

The sun came up,

Your alive,

You have purpose,

Your important,

You have been given more time,

The universe is rising up to meet you....

Don't allow the negative to crowd your day! Start by creating a positive filled day of sunshine.

Take Charge!

How often have you done something that was not exactly what you wanted to do?

How many times have you told yourself, "this could be done better, done differently, done smarter"?

I know in business I have often scratched my head at the redundancies, unnecessary policy changes, or the promotion of people who were unfit to move up the executive ladder.

Don't you wish you could have had a say in those things?

You may not be able to control many of those things but in your personal life (and hopefully one day in business too) you can take control over your thoughts, actions, and attitude.

You can make sure you are doing things that make you feel centered and fulfilled. You are the master of your own destiny, and if you can't control everything in your life you certainly can take charge of your happiness.

Start each day with making choices that are getting you there. Take charge, stay focused and your life will feel right for you.

Mark the moments!

Have you looked forward to an event in your life and known this was going to be a time to remember?

Have you ever been somewhere, or with someone and something happened and you thought, "This is something I will never forget"!

Pictures are great reminders of magic moments.

I have been going through my parents many photos and thought:

I remember that day,

I remember that dress,

I definitely remember that hairstyle,

And I remember that moment in our family....frozen in time by a great photo!

Wouldn't it be great if in every day there were these moments that we wanted to remember?

How can we make each day memorable?

Sometimes even the simplest things can make the greatest memories. It doesn't have to be a big event. It can be a day with your daughter, a time with your pet, a lunch with someone you love. When you do something meaningful to you, with someone you love, it can be sweet times to remember and reflect on.

Do something memorable today.
Make a lasting memory.

It's the little things.....

Isn't that so true.

I know for me it doesn't take much to make me smile, feel happy, and keep my spirits up.

You've  gotta have memories to draw from.

My parents gave me so many.

My Dad always made me feel it was enough just to be with me. He and I spent many a day doing things together and yes, those were the days!

When I was a toddler my father would take me along on his sales route (he was a salesman for Brown Molasses - used in feed for cattle) and I would sing and dance for his customers! (Can you imagine!)

As a preteen one year he took me shopping for a winter coat. I picked out two and he bought them both! My mother was not happy. Well with three other children he should not have bought me two winter coats, but he did. When she asked him why he said, "Donna, they both looked so good on her and they made her happy"! (That was my Dad)

During the summers he insisted on driving me to summer camp and picking me up. We always had lunch at a special place and made a day of it!

In my twenties I would fly in to Ft. Lauderdale from Dallas (on my way to NYC) and he would take me to lunch, or we would go to Hialeah racetrack and spend the whole day together.

I loved it! He was great company and so much fun to be around.

He gave me a lot.

He gave me his time.

He showed me his love.

And in looking back I got all I needed and more.

I'm not sure what you have to remember, but I know for me it may seem like these are little things but they will always be big to me.
